I often post images and videos of easily recognizable places in southern Utah; national parks, state parks, vistas and overlooks. But occasionally I like to post pictures of Utah like this, that illustrate how a simple road and fence with a mountain backdrop show you how the simple beauty of Utah, at times can trump even the massive canyon walls of Zion and Arches.

Insert a country music lyric here like “old dirt road”… But it’s true, it isn’t just hiking the Narrows in Zion, or the Subway that makes southern Utah travel so amazing; it’s the journey as well. For example the road just getting to the Subways trailhead is one of the prettiest drives in all of Utah. You’ll ride along Kolob Terrace thinking to yourself that this is a national treasure.
That’s what images like these can do for you. They can make you stop and look at things from a completely different perspective. See things for their simple beauty and find yourself amazed that you hadn’t noticed before.
Southern Utah travel offers a variety that is hard to match, one minute you can be here by the Coral Pink Sand Dunes, the next you can be wakeboarding in Lake Powell, hiking the Wave, or rappelling down a massive waterfall in Zion. Truly the options are endless, only if you’re willing to stop and get out of your car from time to time and go on an adventure or two.
