Have you had a chance to visit Escalante lately? There is so much to see and so much to do in the areas surrounding Escalante. From the Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument, to Arches which is just down the road a bit. Calf Creek Falls is a favorite for many people as it’s a simple hike with high reward. The waterfall itself is a wonderful sight with its cascading water and green moss.
The town is small but very inviting. There’s a burger joint on main street that seems to be a popular place to recharge after taking on that hike, or that canyon.
The drive that takes you over to upper and lower Calf Creek offers some of the most striking views in all of Utah. With bright vibrant colors shining off of massive rock structures in every direction. You don’t want to miss spending some time in Escalante Utah if you get the chance (or I guess I’m saying you should make the chance by setting a goal and getting there).
If you’re after regular hikes, backpacking, canyoneering and rappeling then Escalante and the Grand Staircase National Monument are the perfect destination for you.
