Have you seen Stephen’s arch? Have you had a chance to visit the Grand Staircase National Monument? It truly is a fabulous place to visit, to hike, to backpack and to enjoy. Stephen’s arch is best seen when backpacking Coyote Gulch. You’ll see it as you descend into the canyon and once you’ve reached the bottom head towards the river and then hike up it for a little ways until you’re standing right below it.

There is so much beyond Stephen’s arch that are great to see in the Grand Staircase. If you’ll head towards Arches you must stop to hike Calf Creek Falls. It’s a relatively easy hike that offers one of the more beautiful waterfalls in all of Utah.

If you continue heading north you can also stop by and hike the Upper Calf Creek falls, which is a little smaller than lower, but is no less grandeur.
