General Transportation Information

Park City is one of the most easily accessible mountain resort communities in the country. Located in the heart of the Wasatch Mountains, part of the Rocky Mountain Range, the town is only 30 miles east of Salt Lake City and only 36 miles from the Salt Lake International Airport, via a six-lane, all-weather interstate highway (I-80). The Salt Lake International Airport is served by 17 airlines, with over 972 scheduled daily flights. These airlines are AeroMexico, America West, America West Express, American, Atlantic Southeast, Comair, Continental, Continental Express, Delta, Frontier, JetBlue, Northwest, Northwest Airlink, Salmon Air, SkyWest, Southwest, and United. Salt Lake City is Delta Air Lines' 3rd largest hub. The airport currently offers non-stop service to 85 cities and is situated within a two and a half-hour flight from half of the nation's population. The International Snow Symposium recognized Salt Lake City International Airport with a first place award for excellence in snow removal and ice control during the winter of 2003.

Within Park City, the bus will take you just about anywhere you need to go from Main Street for a bite to eat to any of the three ski resorts for an exhilarating day on the slopes. The buses run from 7:00 a.m. until 1:10 a.m. daily, stopping every 20 minutes until 11:00 p.m. and every 30 minutes thereafter. The last bus leaves Main Street at 12:30 a.m. All buses go to the Park City Ski Area, Deer Valley Resort, The Yarrow & Albertson's, and Historic Main Street. Bus stops are located throughout the city and can be recognized by their blue and grey color. Best of all, the buses are free of charge. If you are looking for a ride through the Historic District you may want to climb aboard the Main Street Trolley. The Trolley operates everyday from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and serves as a connection between old Town Transit Center and Main Street.
