Find Something Fun for Valentines Day in St George, Utah

valentines-st-georgeSt George offers some pretty great Valentines Day Packages and we at Travelwest have sifted through all of them to bring you a list of the Five BEST Things to Do with Your Sweetheart this Valentine’s Day.

5. Bed and Breakfast’s Are For Everyone!

How often do you think about staying at a Bed and Breakfast? Not often enough! They are cozier than a hotel, the customer service is way more personal, they often have better amenities (aka luxury and splendor) and are even better priced than hotels!

Because St George is near so many beautiful National Parks, our Bed and Breakfast choices are among some of the best in the world! Check out any of these Bed and Breakfasts near Bryce Canyon, Zion Canyon and even here in town. The best part is, Febuary is the off season for our National Park tourists, so you can look forward to the lowest seasonal rates!

If you don’t have the cash for a proper Bed and Breakfast stay, then go ahead and make your own at home! Grab a breakfast tray from the store, throw some flowers on there and whip up your best breakfast. Or, if you are like me and can hardly boil an egg, order some breakfast from one of St George’s Breakfast Cafe’s, like Black Bear Diner, Bear Paw Coffee Co or Breakfast at Tifiny’s. Just make sure that afterward you head out hiking or sightseeing, otherwise it’s just another day at home!

4. Keep it Simple or Add to Any Plan!

Sometimes the simplest gesture is the greatest. If you and your sweetie live a hectic lifestyle and lack the time for an all day event then just surprise each other with the classic flowers and chocolates. St George has some amazing flower talent from the folks at The Flower Market and head on over to See’s Candies to taste test those chocolate boxes and even build your own custom ones. If chocolate isn’t your flavor then visit Candy Blitz, and fulfill your kid-in-a-candy-shop dreams.

3. Crazy Fun Adventure and Peaceful Solitude

Here in Southern Utah we are surrounded by geological wonders found nowhere else in the world, but when was the last time you enjoyed them? Take off with your Valentine with any of these ATV Tour Guides and finally get out to see the beauty we live with everyday! You can even pack a picnic basket and spend all day playing in and exploring the Utah desert and sand dunes.

2. Prove Your Love Through the Ages

Some of the oldest human artefacts are pottery! That is your opening line when you take your sweetheart to Desert Light Pottery & Supplies to immortalize your love with your own handmade vase, sculpture, or for the less romantic, an ash tray. You can enjoy painting a premade piece with your own interpretation of love, or you can get some one-on-one assistance at the wheel and throw your own. Relax and have some fun playing in the clay and creating something beautiful that will last for centuries.

1. St George Massage, Benjas Thai & Sushi, and Tuacahn

Spend the afternoon getting a rejuvenating couples massage with the masters at St George Massage, then head out for some of the best Thai food and Sushi in the beautiful St George Ancestor Square. Remember what Benja says ‘Spicy makes you healthy!’ or for the sensitive palette, you can dial that spicy down to zip. Definitely make sure you get the Sticky Rice and Mango, to share with you special somepony. Just make sure you are done in time to head on out to Ivins and catch one of the world class shows at Tuacahn. Get there early so you can enjoy the gorgeous facilities. If you dare, sit on a bench and sing the most romantic show-tune you know as loud as you can and hear your love echo off the canyon walls right into your loved ones heart.
