If you’re in southern Utah getting your national park on, and are wanting to see a little bit more than just the iconic Zion or Bryce, then Snow Canyon State park is your place. It offers much in the way of simple, stunning beauty. It’s a very fun place to take the family, providing a lot of places to take the kids hiking, as the hikes are relatively easy. And the rocks surrounding the park make for a fun place to go exploring with the little ones.

There’s a sand volleyball court in the center of the park, and camping spots near it. The park is a very popular one so if you’re going to visit, come early.

And if you’re feeling adventurous there’s a couple of lava caves that you can go exploring in there. One is a big open spot that’s easy to find, but the next one’s near it but harder to find. The second one’s quite large and you can wander down through quite a ways. It’s a popular college and high school spot at night, but in the day it’s a fun place to see.

Anyways Snow Canyon State park is a great place to visit if you’re looking for a change of pace in southern Utah.
