Zion National Park Facilities

Zion Canyon Visitor Center
One mile from the south entrance and two miles from Springdale. Open 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily. Closed December 25. A 15-minute orientation video is shown throughout the day. Exhibits explain the natural and cultural history of the area. Rangers are available to answer questions and issue backcountry permits. Books,maps, and film are available.

Kolob Canyons Visitor Center
Off Interstate 15 at Exit 40, 45 miles north of Springdale and 17 miles south of Cedar City. Open 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily. Closed November 26 and December 25. Exhibits explain the geology of the area. Rangers are available to answer questions and issue back-country permits. Books, maps, and film available.
