Bryce Canyon National Park Animal Viewing Opportunities

There are plenty of different animals to see in Bryce Canyon National Park. More than 59 mammal, 175 bird, and 15 reptile/amphibian species have chosen to make Bryce Canyon their home. No doubt they are as attracted to the beauty of this area as humans are. During a visit, people commonly see many animals. One of the most common sightings is of squirrels that hope they can join visitors' picnics - please do not feed them. Rarely people see mountain lions. Regardless of what animal visitors see - squirrels, lions, horny toads, birds, etc. - these sightings will add excitement to any visit to Bryce Canyon National Park.

Bryce Canyon Wildlife Museum

When you are visiting Bryce Canyon National Park, don’t miss this opportunity to see live animals of the west such as Buffalo and Elk, along with animals from around the world. We keep these animals on our ranch in Utah near Bryce Canyon National Park and also near the Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument. Much of the area near us is also part of the Dixie National Forest. We offer several ways to experience the animals or too see the beautiful backcountry surrounding Bryce Canyon National Park.
