Rappelling

With over 1500 established routes and arguably one of the most beautiful landscapes in the country, the St. George area is a rock climber's paradise. There are many challenging rock cliffs within the close vicinity of the city and much more within a few hours' drive in the many national recreation areas of southwestern Utah. Canyoneers enjoy this area since there are so many slot canyons in the Zion National Park and Scenic Byway 12 regions to explore. Many companies and climbing associations sell and rent equipment and provide guided tours.
