Hiking

For complete access to the St. George landscape, hiking is required. There are a lot of unsurpassable obstacles and small crevices that you cannot pass by any other means. The other great thing about hiking is that you can explore at your own pace and spend as much time in one particular area as you want. Taking a knowledgeable guide with you will enhance your experience as he or she knows the geology, biology, and history of the area. Many companies in St. George rent and sell hiking equipment and provide guides and tour paths. Hiking the city trail system is also a great way to explore the city and area.
