Mt. Charleston is Las Vegas' nearest winter wonderland since it gets snow each year. The Las Vegas Ski and Snowboard Resort is perhaps Southern Nevada's premiere winter sport location. It is home to 11 trails (20% are beginner, 60% are intermediate, and 20% are advanced), two terrain parks, and a snowboard half pipe on Mt. Charleston and Lee Peak. It opens around mid-December each year. Adult and children lesson and equipment and clothing rentals are available. Come enjoy the chance to ski in the Southern Nevada desert.
