Here’s a great video of Sand Hollow State park. It’s of a group of college kids who had a little party out there, but you’ll see from it that there are so many things you can do out there.
Sand Hollow is one of my favorite places in southern Utah because there are options, so many options. You can go there to do some serious boating and wakeboarding. Or you can go there to go fishing, kayaking, cliff jumping or scuba diving.
Then right next to it is the sand dunes to take your dirt bikes or ATV’s on which only add to the fun. Because if you ride up to the top there’s a view of Sand Hollow with the Pine Valley mountains in the distance that really is amazing. It goes from red sand, to a deep blue, to the red rocks of Red Cliffs State Park to the dark green peaks of the Pine Valley mountains, just awesome.
Anyways if you’re in southern Utah and looking for things to do in St George and elsewhere, then visiting Sand Hollow should be high on your list of necessities. Because you would be hard pressed to not find something for everyone to do there, even if it’s just soaking in the sun.
