Have you had the chance to hike the Subway? Here’s a cool video of a group of friends hiking the Subway.
The Subway’s a hike found in Zion National Park, that offers some of the most exciting and at times most challenging canyons to traverse in all of Zion. The descent itself is dramatic and begins to set the stage for what you’re going to experience as you hike it.
Once you’re in the canyon you’ll be greeted with sheer canyon walls that are amazing. But you’ll soon find yourself looking down at the rock floor that the wind and water has carved into incredible shapes and slots.
Then you’ll round the bend and see the iconic fallen tree that you’ve seen hundreds of pictures of. This marks the part right before the actual subway aspect of the hike. The part that looks like a subway is actually very short, but very beautiful.
After that the canyon will open up and you’ll find yourself at some cascading waterfalls that are fun to slide down if you’re a little brave. But are fantastic waterfalls to take pictures of. All in all the subway is one of the best hikes you can do in all of Zion and I know that’s saying a lot.
